What about doing yourself a hanger that is sustainable and, also, gives an extra charm to your room/closet?

This DIY tip is more simple than it looks and the result is pretty wonderful! Take a look at the tips below.

MATERIALS:

• 1 wooden dowelling (try to find a piece you can reuse, there is always a place that discard those kind of things);
• 2 leather straps (the minimum ideal size is 3m, because you’ll bend them);
• 1 leather hold punch
• 2 large screw hooks 
• 1 hacksaw (just in case your wooden dowelling isn’t in the size you want).

PASSO A PASSO

1- Take your leather straps and punch a hole in each end of the strap, so 4 holes total. Make sure the holes are wide enough to slip over the end of your screw hooks;

2- Hold the screw hooks on the ceiling in the height you want and, then, bend the leather straps and measure them from the ceiling to the end, as you prefer. 

3- Take your length of wood dowelling and cut it to the size your require, if you think it’s necessary – before you hang it on the leather straps.

4- So far so good, so just hang your wood dowelling in the leather straps, make sure they’re holding well and you’re done!

Extra tip: use aluminium or plastic hangers, that are lighter. Heavy hangers used with heavy clothes might not be a good idea for the leather straps, that can not support and crush. Take care!
