We’ve already talked about essential pieces of clothes for men here, now, is time to talk about essential clothes for girls. With the intention of working on the slow fashion concept and of prioritize quality instead of quantity, let’s see the checklist of the five best essential pieces of clothes for women’s closet!

1- LEATHER JACKET

This is a piece of cloth I believe should be essential in both closets – men’s and women’s -, however, that are some men that still don’t like it. Try to invest in a high quality material of the jacket, that is resistant and durable – instead of buying one jacket each year. Your pocket and environment will thank you for that. It is the best item for you to dress warmly and more simple at the same time, in low temperatures. 

2- T-SHIRT/ LONG SLEEVE SHIRT WITH NO PRINTS

A white t-shirt or a simple long sleeve shirt, with no prints and no collar are extremely essential. Besides it serves as a “white background for you to draw”, in terms of dressing, they also can be used as an “underwear” to keep you warm in low temperatures.

3- MIDI SKIRT (“PENCIL” OR “EVASÉ” MODELLING) 

I am not talking about “office uniform” here. With the fashion democracy, midi skirts can also be part of a simple and casual outfit, not only social one. If you have a piece of that in your closet, you will prove this is truth. For any occasion and lots of temperatures, the midi skirt will be your savior. The modelling is up to you, according to your biotype or the way you better feel dressed: pencil skirt emphasizes curves in the silhouette; evasé skirt disguises it. 

4- BLACK SCARPIN

Again, I am not talking about office uniforms here. Usually we give preference to comfortable shoes, instead the classic ones. But it’s good to remember that a classic, sometimes, are useful when we need a more social outfit – for parties, social meetings, work, weddings, etc – so the scarpin works like the black tie in the female closet.

5- COTTON PROM DRESS

This is another friend of women’s closet. Why cotton? Because it is incomparably comfortable, besides is a really versatile texture. Both midi or mini lengths are good and it can be matched to blazers, jackets, overcoats and a great variety of shoes – from sneakers to scarpins – adapting itself for any occasion. Buy a cotton dress in a neutral color and you’ll see how easier your life will get when you’re going to get dressed (I am the live example of that!).
