I believe, in the make up universe, that one of the biggest challenges is to make up ourselves without looking like we’ve made it. I am for going out with no make up at all, sometimes, because our skin needs to take some breath of fresh air – we are not obligated to apply make up all the time, after all.

But, there are some days we want to give a little touch in our appearance – without looking like we were going to a Miss Universe event, so, for those days, I’ve got some tricks that can help us to apply make up in a really natural way. Take a look at my top 5 and make the test.

The one that I use (which I’ve showed in my snap) is oil-free, which means it has a dry touch and removes almost all of the oiliness.

I don’t like to apply tones of foundation or concealer in my day by day. So, to a more natural make up I use to choose to apply only the concealer, that is lighter than foundation and when I’m doing the application I give little slaps in the region of my face, using only my indicator finger. Then I finish application using a brush, making the same “slap movement”.

Because our natural redness isn’t brown, or gold or orange, so you have to pick a natural color to get the natural effect. And why horizontal direction? Because to get the natural effect we have to apply the product in the opposite way we use to (most of make up tutorials say that we should apply blush in our temples): in the horizontal region of our cheeks.

I am really lazy of applying mascara to more simple occasions so I make use of the lash curler to get an interesting and natural beauty effect on my lashes. But there is a small trick on its application – you hold it for 10 seconds, more os less. Repeat the process in the other eye and you will see how pretty your lashes are. It really makes the difference. It works even better if you have full lashes or artificially ones, made by stretching process.
